To hear the words "horror" and "animation", let alone "zombies", spoken in the same breath is as rare as there are too many PG comedy-driven animated films so I was pleasantly surprised to see the A.D. teaser via Quietearth that contains exactly just that. The teaser for the action-horror adventure is directed by Ben Hibon (Codehunters) and produced by Bernie Goldmann (George Romero's Land of the Dead, 300), Tarik Heitmann and Renee Tab. Haylar Garcia, the creator/writer plans to develop a full length feature and present "the unstoppable godfather of all zombie films".

Very much impressed. More so with the mood and cutting of the teaser, plus that poster is gorgeous. The character design isn't my cup of tea... kind of reminds me of the PC game "Full Throttle". Other wise (and on the upside) it is fairly distinct.
THe character designs fit the zombies. The humans, not so much, IMO.
Is that Josh Homme/QotSA?
reminds me of "Free Jimmy" : why the hell do they have to waste money & months of hard work on ugly character design when there's thousands of young & talented illustrators, comic book artists, graphic designers... who'd kill for the job ?
Zombie lovers I saw the teaser for A.D. and loved it. Looks like a GREAT year for Zombies! I am involved in a project with Shoreline Entertainment on an animated Zombie film titled THE LIVING CORPSE that is deep into production and will be finished and ready for release late summer.
The film, which is based on the graphic novel with the same title started production fifteen months ago and is coming out in 3-D.
The Living Corpse is a zombie film where the hero is a zombie (Pretty cool that the zombies we love are becoming the good guys finally). Memories of his past life, including his son, drive him. In the end he saves mankind from evil zombies and demons from the wretched underworld.
The director is Justin Paul Ritter and the producer is Morris Ruskin (The Signal, Glengarry Glen Ross). Below is a sample of the graphics and if you’d like we could send a link with higher resolution.
