I have complete faith in Rob Marshall's ability to destroy the Disney cash cow that is the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise but I've gotta say: This is truly inspired casting. Ian McShane as Blackbeard. The only question is why it took them this long.
Hell Yes. I don't suppose they'll chance an "R" rating to allow for a continuous string of colorful obscenities to be uttered by the new guy on the franchise? I would be willing to argue its historical accuracy with Mr. Marshall if need be because I really miss "Deadwood".
