The hype surrounding Birdemic: Shock and Terror, which was picked up by Severin Films in late 2009, has been building for a few months.
The baffling teaser and the endorsement of the brilliant comedic duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim were pretty strong indicators that the film has something "interesting" to offer. However, as public screenings in Los Angeles (February 27th, Silent Movie Theatre) and Austin (March 2nd, Alamo Drafthouse) approach, many people are probably wondering if this shot-on-video movie is worth their time. The answer to this question is an enthusiastic "yes!"
A full review will appear on Twitch in the near future, but it is safe to say that this homage to Hitchcock's The Birds gives great works like Dangerous Men, Troll 2, and After Last Season a run for their money. The new trailer provides a taste of the terror that awaits.
