Now, before taking this as gospel bear in mind that Chinese media are notoriously unreliable and many outlets seem to have an active dislike for Zhang Ziyi but, that said, Wayne Wang's upcoming adaptation of Snow Flower And The Secret Fan could be in big trouble. As in production ending trouble. As in the rumors are that stars Gianna Jun and Zhang Ziyi - who is also producing the film - have quit the production. There is no reason given for Jun's departure but Zhang's is being attributed to scheduling conflicts with Wong Kar Wai's The Great Master. If true that Zhang has quit Secret Fan then I suspect that there is more to it than this simply because nobody quits a film they are the lead in and are also producing for a film in which they are acting only and in a support role.
