Quoth the mighty Simon Pegg on Twitter:
David Tennant had to drop out of 'B&H' but by sheer glorious serendipity a legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island has come aboard. Welcome AS.
So no more Tennant in the upcoming John Landis horror-comedy but it would appear his role is now being filled by Andy Serkis. And that is a pretty hard choice to argue with.

I don't care about Serkis. What this movie needs is a doctor.

That's not original at all. :) Just kidding.
Well, I'm still really looking forward to this movie. If Landis can get just anywhere near the brilliance of 'An American Werewolf in London', we'll be in for a great treat. It's just that the Pegg+Tennant combo, was what really made me anticipate the movie.
But yeah, Serkis could be great too. He was a great Gollum, I suppose...
He was great in 24 Hour Party People too, and apparently as Ian Dury in Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, and as a lot of very different characters in other films....and then there is Landis.
Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson are in too, cool.
