At the time the word was that Zhang was trying to recruit Shu Qi for a key support role, a request Shu turned down officially due to scheduling conflicts though most believe she passed due to the nudity that would also be required of her and a reluctance to return to her Cat III past.
But apparently Gianna Jun (the former Jeon Ji-Hyun) is a little less shy. Though her specific role has not been confirmed, The Chosun Ilbo is reporting that the My Sassy Girl and Blood: The Last Vampire star has joined the cast. Given Jun's international stature I think it's safe to assume that she's not playing a minor role in the film, meaning she almost certainly has the role Zhang was pushing to Shu.
