The unmistakable character actress Zelda Rubinstein, has passed away.
Taken off of life support systems last December, Miss Rubinstein was at
Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles, and at 1:59 this morning,
drew her final breath.
Zelda is best remembered for playing medium Tangina Barrons in the
POLTERGEIST trilogy. Other films include UNDER THE RAINBOW, SIXTEEN
CANDLES, SOUTHLAND TALES, and a personal favorite, BEHIND THE MASK: THE
RISE OF LESLIE VERNON. She also worked in television, and played Ginny
Weldon in one of my all-time favorite programs PICKET FENCES.
From all reports, Zelda went peacefully and with little discomfort.
Zelda, you will be missed.
