James Purefoy, Pete Postlethwaite, and a chap who looks like a medieval version of Leatherface, equals more fanboy ecstacy in this latest teaser clip, from the forthcoming heroic adventure epic, Solomon Kane.
Directed by Michael J. Bassett (Deathwatch, Wilderness), adapted from the old
school pulp work of sword and sorcery scribe Robert E. Howard, most
well known of course, as the creator of Conan The Barbarian.
Click over right here to Dread Central, the "other home" of yours truly, for a look. It's very reminiscent of the village attack scene in the beginning of John Milius' Conan. Homage? Self-reference? EIther way, this looks frickin' cool as all get out. And I dig the horrific looking Masked Rider, all the guy is missing is a chainsaw!

I'm certainly reminded of a lot of flicks beyond Conan in that clip, but like you say, Sean, still pretty cool. Lucky Europeans...
