'Tis the year of the rock bio-pic, apparently, and if they weren't coming out looking so good I might be bothered by that.
Next to come down the line is Mat Whitecross' look at the life of Ian Dury with the appropriately titled Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Not only is the cast of this one mighty impressive - Andy Serkis looks fantastic in the lead and any film smart enough to cast Ray Winston and Olivia Williams in support parts is okay by me - but it appears as though Whitecross has captured the period perfectly, right down to the film stock.
