You've got to hand it to India, they're not shy about self-promotion there. Take upcoming Tamil language release Porkkalam - Battlefield in English - as an example. The debut feature from twenty four year old writer-director Bandi Saroj Kumar, Porkkalam is "a high voltage action thriller which is going to create a revolution in the history of INDIAN CINEMA." I know this because the title bar on the official website tells me so. I also know that "the action sequences are choreographed by the director in a natural and exciting way, without including the regular irritating commercial fantasies." Thanks guys! Good to know! But here's the thing: they've just released the first trailer for this one and it actually looks really damn good. So while I may tease it looks as though they may actually be living up to the PR bluster. Check it below!

Reminds me of the heyday of Hong Kong nuttiness in the early 1990s.
Kollywood FTW~.
Another nutty Indian action flick which might be fun is Veer with Salman Khan. Still no trailers (there was one, but they removed it all over the place), but still promos looked something like the bastard child of Conan the Barbarian and a Dolph flick.
It's a stylish looking trailer that shows no action... don't see what's so exciting about that.... still I'd love to have the music track that's playing in the background...
So, ahem... when do they start dancing and singing?
