The documentary OFFICIAL REJECTION, which looks at the now very crowded world of film festivals, is coming to dvd November 17. With an unflinching eye, director Paul Osbourne turns the lens (and the sometimes tables) on various festivals and some of the programmers that make up the film festival circuit.
Favoritism, studio interference, premiere envy, and the overall
competitive nature of the "indy" fest scene is examined, and sometimes
skewered, in Osbourne's pointed yet funny documentary. Right now I only
know what I've been told about the film, but it's all been good, so I
can't wait to peek behind the curtain that OFFICIAL REJECTION peels
back with my own eyes on November 17.
