Those fine lads over at QuiestEarth started it when they found the promo clip for Gordon Chan's upcoming adaptation of the King of Fighters video game. Already packed to the rafters with top talent like Ray Park and Maggie Q I don't see this ending up anywhere except in those wire bins at gas stations. After the wonders that are Dragonball and Street Fighter [poor poor Kristin Kreuk... ahem... cough] don't expect to see this any time soon. Find it the next time your filling up your tank.

Love the drunken spelling of Street Fighter. And yeah, this looks unbelievably sized balls. Dragonball looked better than this. It's a shame, you rarely see the ridiculously cool Françoise Yip in anything these days, and it's only in awful films. And she's still gorgeous.
PS: Extra points for using a binbag as a weapon.. yeah.
Don't forget that the Tekken movie is coming too, thus, closing the circle of crap movies based on fighting videogames. Unless someone tries to do a Gulty Gear movie, which i don't even want to imagine.

At least what I've seen thus far of Tekken actually looks decent.
I've never understood why people would want to make movies based on those games. It's not like there's wast material for a storyline.
But I guess commercially it makes sense and they can pretty much slap any story to it and call it an adaption.
Since i own just about everygame in the series I think I have to watch this.. Though I am not happy about it.. Not happy at all...
That trailer is awful, but to be perfectly fair the footage looks better than some so-called "martial arts" films I've seen in theaters in the last 48 hours or so, not to name names or anything. And certainly it looks better than STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF THAT'S NOT REALLY CHUN LI IS IT?
That movie got to be really bad!
