Here's a treat for fans of military horror: French martial artist and star of Banlieue 13 - released here as District B13 - Cyril Raffaelli, also known for his support parts in Kiss of the Dragon and Die Hard 4, is part of the ensemble cast in supernaturally tinged French action-horror Stranded.
Originally known simply as Djinn the film follows a squad of French soldiers on a mission in the northern Sahara when things start to go badly wrong.
A promo reel from this was screened at the American Film MArket and looked quite strong, with an excellent blend of action and horror. Gregoire Leprince-Ringuet, Thierry Fremont, Said Taghmaoui and Aurelien Wiik also star.

Soldiers are sent on a rescue mission in the desert. Trapped in a sand storm, isolated from their commander, they run into Algerian rebels. As they seek shelter in an uncharted village another, invisible, threat comes out from the desert -- the Djinns. As their ranks are decimated, they'll face the longest night of their lives.
