Oh, Asylum, you're wacky.
What does everyone's favorite purveyor of mockbusters - by which I mean films that spoof on big blockbuster titles and skirt the edge of copyright infringement in the name of making a quick buck - do when there are no busters to mock? Simple! Grab something out of the public domain, put a couple of b grade stars in it - in this case Antonio Sabato Jr and Traci Lords - and claim that it INSPIRED the biggest buster that ever busted.
Yeah, I hadn't heard anything about Princess of Mars inspiring James Cameron's Avatar before The Asylum put it on their box art, either, but it must be true! Because there it is! Check the trailer below!

And they can also profit from it when the big budget Princess of Mars hits theaters.
Back to the 80ies!
Great Stuff. Only Sabatos ars tattoo is somewhat disturbing.
If you are going to have princess in the title of your film, I think the poster art should feature the woman predominantly.
Honestly, I love that TL is wearing the classic Princess Leia top in the trailer. She probably had that in her "everyday wear" closet.
