Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho [The Host and Mother] talked with Collider.com at TIFF this year and talked about his plans to adapt a french graphic novel, Le Transperceneige, into a film he has titled Snow Piercer. Park Chan-wook will produce. If production begins it won't start until 2011. Bong is still in the scripting stages. Video after the jump.

2012 better come fast.
The original is brilliant, fits Bong's 386-gen political sensibilities like a glove.
Glad he's still planning on doing this. Know next to nothing about the graphic novel minus a few pages, but the basic idea sounds great, and in Bong's hands even greater.
