If the first teaser we posted a few days ago was more or less about setting the mood, and announcing with big badass fanfare that Donnie Yen is back, the longer trailer which was released today is filled with money shots, suggesting a lot more what kind of action we're getting - pushing on the wirefu pedal a little too much for my liking, but I'm sure many will disagree, and the mano y mano action looks quite nice as expected - not to mention the fine music. Also, it's always a good excuse to show you the newly released poster as well.
A quick look at the trailer, and look who's there... Sammo Hung, just one of the many veterans who will participate in the film, which amongst others also features Law Kar-Ying and Wu Ma. Action choreographer is Chiu Ku Huen, who recently worked in the Brazilian capoeira action Besouro (Beetle).
Seems like the timing couldn't be better for HK action fans, with this and Yuen Woo-Ping's upcoming 蘇乞兒 (True Legend) both releasing in theaters very close to each other, and a new Shaolin Temple flick in the making.
