It is with great joy to hear Golden Harvest, the once powerhouse Hong Kong film studio that launched Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan into stardom and the producer of classic martial arts and action films including Enter the Dragon, Police Story series among many others is set for a revival according to the new management. In 2003, the studio halted film production to concentrated on film distribution and cinema management and then in 2007, founder Raymond Chow sold his shares
to China's Orange Sky
Entertainment Group. Both companies merged to form a film production unit known appropriately enough as Orange Sky Golden Harvest. The new executives plans to return to producing film and expanding its number of movie
theaters in China.
China General Manager Chen Guowei said the company aims to release five movies a year, including at least one meant to be a big-budget blockbuster. Chen said it invested in the upcoming action thriller "Storm Warriors" and is planning a film about ancient Chinese female warriors with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" producer Bill Kong.Golden Harvest has a strong history of providing the highest entertainment quality that the Hong Kong film industry has to offer while setting the bar for others to follow interms of production values so I hope under these new management, they will do justice to the studio's legacy. All the best to this partnership as they move forward with their plans.

This is really cool! My greatest wish would be that they start making low budget Kung Fu movies again. Using ACTUAL martial artists and not boy band douche bags.
Please?
