[UPDATE: Added an alternative video to replace the dead link.]
Director Gordan Chan (Fist of Legend) talks on adapting the King of Fighters video game into a film as well as some footage from Ray Park, Maggie Q, and Sean Farris in action. Now I know what your thinking, films based on video games tend to suck big time. So why should this be any different than the epic train wreck that is Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li and Dead or Alive? Well...uhm...nevermind.

A stylish, high-octane, live action feature based on the highly successful video game franchise, in which the last surviving descendants of three legendary clans are continuously transported to other dimensions to test their martial arts skills against an evil force that seeks to invade and infect the real world.

damn, was kinda looking forward to seeing the video, looks like it got shut down pretty quick. Fist of Legend is in the top 5 of the Best Martial arts movies of all time hands down. I hope Chan brings the same style to this as he did Fist.
Please stop making movies of fighting games. PLEASE... JUST STOP...
I don't understand why so many people hate on Dead Or Alive. Sure it was stupid, that's a given. But the run time is short, and basically nonstop action. That action is well-choreographed (essentially a highlight reel of the best setpieces of 90's HK martial arts, with Corey Yuen ripping off his own best work as well as everyone else's) and well-executed, and the editing is completely coherent. Everything is bright and shiny and the sound design snaps crackles and pops. A perfect guilty pleasure action distraction. Why all the hate?
Oh BOOOO! Video link is DEAD.
