[I've translated trailer and added HD version on youtube, so turn on HD, annotations and fullscreen in your player to enjoy the best quality available on youtube.] Today we got Russian premiere of stunning trailer for Black Lightning (Чёрная Молния, Chyornaya Molniya), produced by Timur Bekmambetov and directed by Alexandr Voitinsky and Dmitriy Kiselev. Not like previous teaser, that was more story oriented and had almost no special effects, this trailer brings blockbuster excellence at its best.One day workers on construction site for skyscrapers in Moscow discover Soviet underground bunker and old rusty Volga in it. One worker give it as a present to his son, an ordinary student of Moscow State University. Later he discovers that his rusty car is able to fly. He will be able to not only avoid trafficjams, but he unexpectedly finds himself the city's defender, mysterious fighter against evil.
Just like in Night Watch and Day Watch, where good heroes were poor, while dark personages were rich, Black Lightning has good guy flying on old rusty Volga, and the bad guy flying on luxury Mercedes.
The movie was made for 8 millions dollars, that's almost 2 times more than that they spent on Day Watch and Night Watch. Black Lightning will appear in theaters in Russia on 31st December 2009.

Holy crap! Even though it looks like the story is utterly ridiculous, from the trailer it looked like basically the Spiderman story but his powers are a car, this does look pretty damn awesome.

I think Swarez nailed it, it looks like it is Spiderman redux...otherwise it does look fun.
