If the teaser wasn't enough, this suggests what is likely to be a very dark and intense thriller. 백야행 (The White Night) is adapted from Higashino Keigo's classic 白夜行 (Byakuyako), which gave birth to one of the best Japanese TV dramas of the decade.
The Korean version has changed a few details and added others, but we're still dealing with a mysterious murder from 14 years past, the two lovers (Son Ye-Jin and Go Soo) living apart and trying to bury their secret in the dark until the statute of limitations is up, and the vicious detective who devotes his life to trail them (a badass looking Han Suk-Gyu). Might have been quite the derivative adaptation, particularly considering how strong a mark the 2006 TBS dorama left behind, but other than what seems to be a rather strong cast (even Go Soo looks the part), there is one important detail making this quite promising: Park Yeon-Seon of 연애시대 (Alone in Love) and that insane gem known as 얼렁뚱땅 흥신소 (Evasive Inquiry Agency), one of the most talented and eclectic writers in Korea, and especially someone who successfully dealt with adaptations for her entire career, both on the small and big screen. Release is set for November 19.

Dear mr X, I know this off topic, but could write something about the Kdrama Iris?
I'm a big fan, but I would like to hear your view on this matter
Will probably review it when it's over.
