Some good news indeed for fans of high end science fiction anxious to hear what's happening with Vincenzo Natali's Splice. While distribution politics have kept the film out of the big North American festivals, the Spanish genre fest in Sitges - one of the premiere festivals of its type in the world - have just announced their competition titles and Natali's film is in there, nestled up against Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void, Gabe Ibanez's Hierro, Belgian scifi Mr Nobody and more.

Well, this news has made my day. This was my most anticipated movie for 09 and when it dropped off the map a couple of months ago I was very disappointed. So... when is Sitges?
Sitges = October 1st.
SPLICE = Really good! Rest assured it is worth the wait.
Saw some footage of this at Frightfest and it looked a little like Species!?
Strange cute (but angry when pushed...) creature with little bird like legs and no arms. Odd but interesting...
