Do I think Canada's Evokative Films made a wise choice yesterday by picking up rights to Ole Bornedal's Deliver Us From Evil? Oh, yes indeed ... this isn't just a good film, it's a bloody well great one and one that is quite comfortably my favorite picture of the year so far. My full review will appear on Twitch soon but if you're the impatient sort you can find it over at Showcase now.

This film looks rather un-nerving, you've got my attention. It also has the scent of Peckinpah, which is never a bad thing.
I just left the theatre. This film is the best I've seen since 'Let the right one in'. It is completely riveting. The actors are fantastic and the camerawork is terrific. best film at TIFF this year.
