Juan Jose Campanella's The Secret In Their Eyes was a pleasant surprise at this year's edition of the Toronto International Film Festival - a film that walked in to virtually blind,, knowing next to nothing about it beyond that it was a crime thriller starring Ricardo Darin. Darin was enough to get me in to the room but it was Campanella's work with him that kept me there, the film masterfully blending the thriller elements with stellar character work.
We spotted an Argentine trailer for this one a little while back but with the Spanish co-production soon to receive a release on Spanish shores a brand new trailer has arrived there as well, this one a little more polished and indicative of the final film than was the original.

I'll watch anything with Ricardo Darin in it. And Noirish thrillers doubleso! And sadly, i missed this at TIFF.
