Perpetual losers Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb) return for another hysterical and cringe-inducing series of the superb Peep Show on Friday night (Channel 4, 10pm). Now in its sixth series, I struggle to think of any sitcom that's so consistently hilarious. Maybe it's a life stage thing, but there's something about the exploits of these deeply flawed characters, that's not only defiantly amusing but hugely compelling. At once believable, absurd, painful and worryingly accurate, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain's creation uses the central conceit of seeing the world in POV through the eyes (and minds) of the characters to masterful comic effect. As well as our bickering duo, Dobby, Johnson, Super Hans, Big Suze and Sophie will all make a return. These social misfits are more than welcome back on our screens.
