Sterling news has just come in with word that Canada's Evokative Films has secured Canadian rights to Ole Bornedal's Deliver Us From Evil. Though my full review of the picture won't run for another day or so, Deliver Us currently stands as my personal favorite film of the year, a striking and deeply disturbing tale of a small community locked in a downward cycle of escalating violence. As with all Evokative titles, fans can expect a limited theatrical run followed by a high end DVD release.
