Back in August of 2008 it was announced that Spanish genre king Alex De La Iglesias (Accion Mutante, Ferpect Crime) would next be working on a big budget adaptation of Belgian graphic novel The Yellow M with Kenneth Branagh attached to star. And that was pretty much the last we heard about that project. So what's happening? Well, what's happening is that while that project is still in development the film De La Iglesia will actually direct next is Balada triste de trompeta - a film being described as a grotesque comedy about Spanish circus clowns competing for the affections of a trapeze artist in the 1970s. And already I like this one better than De La Iglesia's most recent feature, The Oxford Murders.

Iglesia should make the new Judge Dredd! Accion Mutante style! Boyle producing, Iglesia directing, twould be great. He did a pretty crazy looking sci-fi for spanish television recently, after Murders i think...
Sound like something very much in the line of "Muertos de Risa" ... should be great !
Looking forward to "The Yellow Mark" as well ...
And an Iglesia Judge Dredd with Stallone should work too ... Rambo Mutante Style ;-)
No Stallone please!.Even now he's too soft. And the voice has got to be a natural boomer, not a forced one. Ray Stevenson maybe.
