Over this past year one of my favorite little discoveries was Can Evrenol's Sandik or The Chest. A raw, nasty little piece of work from the Turkish born, UK dwelling writer-director, Sandik is an exercise in pure revulsion; a film that exists only to make you squirm and proves that budget limits can be overcome easily enough if only you know what you're doing with your edit and sound design. After finding it we quickly made sure to program it at both the Worldwide Short Film Festival here in Toronto and Montreal's Fantasia Festival and on the list of 'Bad Ideas In 2009' the lady-friend showing this film to my mother as an example of what I do for a living must surely rank fairly high. But now you can show it to your mom, too! Evrenol has given us the go ahead to post the entire film here on Twitch. You can find it below the break!

Nasty? Yes.
Good? No.
Responsible parenting of the lead actor? No.
Crap? Yes.
Well, at least they guy involved his whole family. From newborn to grandma. That says something.
yes its crap, but its a good crap.
gut-twisting, mean little piece of, well lets say, dung....... But I like that! ^^ No, not really, but it isn't worse than cannibal holocaust, and therefore it's still away from crossing the its's-also-a-kind-of-art-border.
