Watch Sabu's DASH AND CASH!

by Todd Brown, August 26, 2009 7:17 PM

Well, at least something good is coming out of the Hollywood marathon of mediocrity that is The Taking of Pelham 123. In a boost to promote their local release of the film, Japanese distributor United Pictures have gone and hired cult film director Sabu to direct a Pelham-inspired short titled Dash and Cash. And, as anyone who has ever seen a Sabu film can tell you, the choice is an inspired one. The director has spent most of his career establishing and exploring a signature style based entirely around chase sequences of some variety. People are constantly in motion in Sabu films. Sure, there are exceptions - recent literary adaptation The Crab Cannery Ship is an obvious one - but if you're in Japan and you want a chase with some style to it, Sabu's the guy to talk to.

With Dash and Cash now complete, United Pictures have loaded the entire six minute short on to the web. Check it below the break!

I was about to turn it off just as they reached the location. Then it just turned awesome.
