One of the big buzz titles leading in to this year's Cannes Film Festival was Gabe Ibanez's Spanish chiller Hierro, the story of a young mother consumed by grief and obsession after her son disappears in the middle of a ferry trip. Reviews of the film were decidedly mixed but one thing that everyone agreed on is that Ibanez is a huge visual talent. The man shoots simply stunning film. And now you can judge his skills for yourself as the fine lads at Quietearth have just landed themselves the first look at the trailer. You can find it embedded below the break!

Striking visuals and good music make a trailer, yes indeed. I'll keep my eyes open for this, whenever, wherever, though it will probably be awhile, unless I am in Spain or, Finland... apparently.
Yeah, wow. great music choice there :)
After this and Sex and Lucia I don't think I'd entrust Elena Anaya with the care of my child.
This looks pretty amazing, and a intriguing story to boot.
Hmm.
