THE HOST 2 Takes A Big Step Forward

Somehow I missed this while attending PiFan - odd, since this actually happened at the festival - but the Korean sequel (possibly prequel, nobody's quite sure which direction it will take yet) to Bong Joon-Ho's The Host just came a whole lot closer to reality with an investment of five million dollars from Kelvin Tong's Singapore-based Boku Films. This one's been in development for rather a long time now - as has the rumored China-based parallel sequel - which I actually take as a positive sign as it means the producers are taking their time to get it right rather than simply rushing something out quickly to capitalize on the runaway success of the original.

Nice news, The Host was a monster movie i actually liked, which doesn't happen too often.

I can't wait to see this film. I heard about it a while ago.

Great news! I hope they manage to put together a story that was as fun as the first! The Park family's quirks did much to make the original film stand out beyond your average garden-variety monster movie.
