INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS BY QUENTIN TARANTINO TO CLOSE THIS YEAR’S FANTASIAMontreal, July 21, 2009 – INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS by Quentin Tarantino, the latest sensation at the 2009 Cannes Festival and one of the most awaited films of the year, will be closing Fantasia’s 13th edition. This very special screening is organized in collaboration with Alliance Vivafilm and is scheduled for 9:45 pm on July 29th 2009 at the Concordia Hall Theater. Eli Roth, one of the film’s main actors, will be the festival’s special guest at this screening.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is set during World War II and tells the story of a group of Jewish American soldiers known as « The Basterds » trained to carry out high risk precision missions. They team up with a German actress in order to assassinate Third Reich leaders.
The film, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, stars Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbenderr, Diane Kruger, Daniel Bruhl, Til Schweiger, Mélanie Laurent, B.J. Novak and Samm Levine.
INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is scheduled for release in theaters on August 21st.


I love Quentin Tarantinos films. This one have good story and very good actors.

First off, I find the original kind of myeh. Second, I am not a huge fan of Tarantino's. Third, surprisingly to me, I quite enjoyed the BASTERDS script (typos and all!)
Being the narcissistic buttface I am, I'm most curious as to what my own reaction is going to be when I view this film. :)
I'd be there if I was in the area, fo' sho'.
