Where is my Blu Ray might be a better question? This cover is an example of why Hollywood screws it up so often (and for not getting Jenny Wright naked in Near Dark.)
Near Dark is nearly a perfect movie so I suppose if a new generation has to find it like this I can live with it but I'd still like to punch whoever came up with this idea.
I like how they managed to make Adrian Pasdar & whatshername look nothing like they do in the film. . .
I guess it was either this, or another Saw-style poster.
Why, yes..."we" are, xino...u'wanna come to the tea party too? LOL... That's what "we" do right, LOL?...;)
O.K. after watching Near Dark again I have to say I was "In a Mood" at the time, it might have been Joshua Millers performance....I don't care that he was 15 at the time, it was awful. That aside you are right Swarez, it does kick ass, I would recommend this to friends afraid to jump in to the current Hollywood vampire trend which I find boring, idiotic and condescending...what vampire needs a sword or an automatic weapon?
...aside from the atrocious cover what is different about this release?...other that Dolby 5.1 I cant find any difference than other releases, which also contain Dolby 5.1...anything?
For part two of our Berlinale 2012 Preview (here's part one - the Competition Lineup), we'll be highlighting titles in the Forum and Panorama sections. What's the difference? According to the festival, the Forum section includes the most daring and risk-taking films of the program, while the Panorama section includes films specifically targeted at buyers (who are generally not...

For the second time in two years, I am frustrated and a bit sad to begin discovering the work of a great, oft-overlooked filmmaker upon reading news of their death. Such was the case last year with Jean Rollin, whose passing prompted me to dig into his filmography and in turn discover one of the most unique genre filmmakers...

Berlinale 2012 kicks off in three days, and with its vast, diverse international program, preparation is mandatory. So, between stockpiling warm clothes and memorizing how to say "I don't speak German" in German, I've been combing the program and singling out potential highlights in each festival category. I'll be sharing these over the next several days before I depart,...

*Some Spoilers, Fair Warning*Perhaps a goofy co-incidence that Facebook filed with the SEC to launch its $5 Billion (with a B) initial public offering in the same week as this viral/web advertised film hit cinema screens. The dollar value for the filing is itself equal parts news-catcher, market-hubris and ultimately an underscore on where society, in the here and now,...

Ltd. announced that it will start applying film classifications to films in the hope of providing better guidance to its patrons and improving box office performance. A subsidiary of film distribution giant Bona Film Group, the exhibitor currently only operates four cinemas in China, including two in Beijing,...

That's the best laugh I've had in a while. You're a good man, Swarez.
Lionsgate: because the Weinstein Company might go out of business at any moment, and someone has to stink up the joint.
If you squint, you can almost see the other actors.
*STEAMS RED*
Now I'm waiting for the TrueBlood cover release of Let The Right One In. Grrr.
Oh Christ. It's like someone shitting on my soul.
I'll tolerate it on the hopes that it will get some people to watch a REAL vampire movie.
Wow. huh... yuck.
Bill Paxton=Teen heart throb
Wow that's shameless!
I like how they managed to make Adrian Pasdar & whatshername look nothing like they do in the film. . .

Lionsgate...they know not what they do
I first thought this was for the remake, and then I started to pay attention.
Oh. My. God...
I'm with Digitalfantastique - if it helps this underrated gem find a wider audience, why not? And where is my Blu Ray?
"This ranks right up there with Transmorphers. Only Transmorphers might actually be, you know, halfway decent…"

Swarez, is this one of your posters?
(Ducks and RUNS !!!!!) ;-)
Yuck! And it looks like the DVD is bare bones, dumping all the extras that were on the previous Anchor Bay editions.
Sweet lord Enis, that is one piss poor BTLC cover.
One day my dream of owning a custom footy BTLC shirt will become reality.
Jacks shirt design as an embroidered patch, pork chop express as the sponsor and LO PAN as the name on the back.
THE DREAM!!

Yeah. I didn't know that. Thanks for pointing it out. In which case, that's a really shameful cover image.
