It is a well known fact that if you were more than a glint in the milk man's eye in 1982 the movie Tron changed the way you looked at computers and video games forever. Either you approached your local video arcade with a little apprehension lest you be sucked into your favorite video game or you charged full steam ahead ready to play the game because your initials filled all ten spots on Tempest!
So here we are, cripes, over a quarter of a century later and the new Tron film, Tron Legacy, a better title than Tron 2.0 or Tr2n, is slated to come out next year. The same promo reel that was shown some time ago and potcam'd by a heavy breathing fanboy who steamed up his own lens. It is much clearer now. No annoying cheering and yelping and inhaler noises. Check it out after the break and chime in. Thoughts? Praises? Concerns? Conundrums?

I have officially dropped all reservations concerning this. Hell yes!!
From a design point of view, it's unbelievable.
Fresh, revamped, but very much faithful with a hint of nostalgia.
I watched it and just whispered "Fuck..." to myself.
And Jeff Bridges should do more villain work.
Wow. I wasn't expecting much, but this is lookin' real nice.
btw, were any Twitch folk at the Avatar thing?
I was never one of those "Tron" fanatics way back when, but this trailer definitely revived my interest in this film. Nice to see Jeff Bridges back in his original role.
Did anyone see that Cheech and Chong Tron spoof. The comedy in it was pretty terrible, but visually I was astounded. Thats what I'd like to see in a new TRON film.
WOW!!!!
Thats me back to being a kid again. That is going to rock on IMAX 3D :-)
Why does it have to have such a rubbish title?
Even TR2N was better.
Well, imho, visual storytelling is at an all time high. Virtual setts, augmented reality and visual computing have all become everyday stuff in the movies. I'm not too impressed with those things anymore. I would like to see a good solid story behind it with some geek power as a baseline (like the first one) . Make my inner geek happy in me seat at the movies. :)
ehhh... ok... eh.. nothing else to say..
