Excuse my ignorance here but I have no idea what it means to have an 'Upfront' trailer. Irregardless, a new trailer has surfaced for ABC's upcoming interpretation of 'V' and it you can stay until the very end you will get a glimpse of lizard flesh!
I haven't made my mind up on this yet. There is that nostalgic part of me that is wrestling with this whole project; whether to love it or hate it.
Lizard flesh after the break!

I always thought this was one series that deserved a complete overhaul. I must say I will take anything over the cheesy Universal backlot's of the former series. I was surprised they got rid of the whole Nazi/Jewish themes and replaced with the whole Right Wing Christian doctrine.
I remember the whole storyline of the Rabbi and his past in the Camps and how they wrapped that into the vanishing of people overnight. So it is interesting to see them go into a different realm
Will I watch this.....HELL YEAH this looks like it will deliver the goods. I just hope they keep some of those famous scenes from the series in this.
A.) The spying of the lead as she swallows a small rodent.
B.) The young man who disappoints his Alien counterparts and is delivered to Dianna and you hear his bloodcurdling screams. ( the character was the Rabbi's grandson). *that scene alone scared the hell out of me and I thought was the scariest thing I had seen on television until the revelation of BOB on Twin Peaks.*
I hope ABC will give this the treatment it deserves and will not treat this the way CBS treated JERICHO.
Upfront refers to the yearly tradition of TV networks presenting their new fall line-ups of TV shows to advertisers so they can get some $$ and investments. This was the trailer they presented at that event most likely to interest their investors.
It will hit many of us with the old nostalgia factor plus we will be keen to see how it translates into the 21st Century. I doubt it'll be as good as the BSG revamp ( I may be wrong) or have as many "did you see V last night" discussions the next day among the kids, but it will be worth seeing how the lizards look with the advances in FX and make-up at the studios disposal these days, plus the classic birth scene will hopefully deliver the goods (sorry!)
Yea, the birth scene is pretty classic, it made it into one of our Twitch-O-Meter columns a while ago. http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/twitch-o-meter-birth-of-a/
I remeber watching V when I was a a kid and then i checked Youtube for clips now I got all the good creepy feelings back. Ah, the peeling of the skin.. love it.
This remake actually looks quite good, so I look forward to it. Will go home and rewatch the original first though. Will be a good rerun i think!
