***UPDATE*** Finally a proper version of the trailer shown at Cannes has appeared. Thanks to Wildgrounds for the tip. Find it after the break.
What is that saying about best intentions? Kudos to whomever filmed the trailer at the Mulan Hua booth at Cannes. Until an actual trailer becomes available sadly this is the best we can do. We also were directed to the promotional poster from Cannes.
This is the Mulan Hua film that stars Vicky Zhao Wei, who I have always had a soft spot for. But I am growing weary of the volume of costumed epic pics that China is turning out these days. The endless tide is overwhelming. We'll just have to wait and see if this one stands out from the crowd.
Embedded after the break is a tolerable captured quality video of the trailer.
Thanks Nwiwatwa

I like her too but I'm sick of these psuedo-wuxia/psuedo-historical epics that keep coming out.
After Painted Skin, I came to the conclusion that I prefer Zhao Wei and Zhou Xun in modern settings more; they seem to be more interesting actresses that way.
Seems to have a darker tone to it, then what I expected.
Glad to see more wu xia from China, although the glory shaw era is over long ago.
Well, as long as they can put out movies like Warlords, Battle of Red Cliff, The banquet and Ip man, I won't mind movies like Battle of wits and Co.
For me, US superhero movies are beginning to bore the s... out of me...or torture porn flicks...or fantasy movies (man, The golden compass and The secret of Moonacre were so boring)...or sequels...or prequels...or reboots...
Nice to see Jaycee Chan again - I really liked him in Invisible Target.
her voice annoyed me a bit. but yeah good to see jaycee...he should be in more stuff
Quick, name a good film directed by Jingle Ma. Because I can't... but I want to like this.
