This should make Kurt a happy boy. A whole film featuring one of his favorite actors Olafur Darri.
Icelandic director Marteinn Steinar, one of the directors of the sci-fi film One Point 0, is gearing up for the production of his next solo film Stormland (Rokland), based on the novel by the same name by Hallgrimur Helgason, the author of Reykjavik 101.
The story revolves around a young man who lives in a small village in northern Iceland and hates just about everyone. He's a blogger by day and manages to gather around him vast amounts of enemies with his writing until he's basically made an outcast from his home town and losing everything and everyone that is important to him. Distraught and angry he takes his horse and rides south to the capital with a gun in his pocket with the goal to assassinate the prime minister and start a revolution.
Marteinn and production company Pegasus put together a stellar looking teaser for investors and I actually thought the film was done when I saw this but they haven't actually started shooting yet. It looks very promising and very different from what we are used to over here.
Check it out after the break but beware that there is a shot in there that might not be work safe in some areas.
