Now THIS is the movie I was dying to see as a kid. And of course I would be on the side of the octopus...
Say about The Asylum what you want (and many major studio executives would use words like "thieves", "criminals",etc.) but these guys have a fun imagination. As amusing as their line of ripoff-movies are, when they DO come up with their "own" concept, it so fully embraces its B-movie roots that I can't help but love it. We've seen splendid movies about large sharks, we've seen dreadful movies with giant octopuses, but we've never seen... "MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS".
Well, that age of innocence has ended, now that there is a trailer out on the web.
It's in not-so-glorious You-Tube format but hey, let's face it: this SHOULD look like you found it on an old rental VHS-tape...
UPDATE: a lot more glorious version has now been embedded.
Find it after the break!

That looks like quite a bit of fun. I'm sure that every cool part is included in that trailer, but none the less, I will check it out once it hits the dollar bins.
hahaha Deborah Gibson... Man I miss the old Debbie Gibson. She's all grown up now. :(
speachless!!!!!!!
Loved the 'jumping shark' ! There is a joke in there somewhere.
I just love that they took two creatures that may have existed for real at some time...
...and then proceeded to make both a hundred times larger than the original had ever been. Insane!
But then again, they don't call themselves "The Asylum" for nothing.
just when you thought it was safe to fly in a plane ...
A B-film without gratuituous shots of large breasts is worth nobody's time.
Holy crap, that is Debbie Gibson. Somebody needed a paycheck... and not a very big one I would think.
Better to cover this than the TRANSFORMERS sequel. At least this looks enjoyable on a certain level.
watched this last night, it was so bad it was good.
this looks cool :)
