Lest you start thinking that Cannes is all about serious art-house fare - a pretty big leap this year, admittedly, what with the remarkably genre-heavy lineup - I present to you the trailer for Felix van Groeningen's The Misfortunates, due to debut as part of the Director's Fortnight lineup. The synopsis sounds all serious and arty, that's for sure - it's about a thirteen year old boy being raised in a family of drunks and societal drop outs - but the trailer? Well, the trailer has a thing for naked cycling. Personally I'd be afraid of accidental crushing but this is evidently less of an issue in Belgium.
Work safe? Heck no. It's got dangly bits o'plenty. It is pretty darn funny, though. Check it below the break.

Actually, two David Lynch movies make good subverted use of Orbison tunes. Candy Coloured Clown in Blue Velvet and Crying in Mulholland Dr.
Well let's just say, the given synopsis of the movie and the trailer don't 'exactly' fit here...
