Curse you BBC and your damnably effective region-sensitive video player! I can't even crack this thing with the help of UK based proxy servers! This hurts rather a lot right now because earlier this week the venerable Beeb released the first clip from Psychoville, the new dark comedy series from Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith - best known as one half of The League Of Gentlemen, of whom I an am enormous fan. Here's the skinny on the new show:
Psychoville is a dark character comedy mystery in which different characters are strangely linked. An embittered one-handed clown who makes balloon animals with his hook; a desperately misguided midwife; a lovestruck telekinetic dwarf who's in love with his panto Snow White; a blind avaricious collector; and a serial-killer-obsessed man-child... five seemingly unconnected characters share one thing in common.
Yet despite having different backgrounds, different interests, and coming from different parts of the country they share a common link. Every one has been sent an anonymous, black-edged card marked just with the words: "I know what you did..."
Psychoville is due to air in the early summer and while I can't see the clip, maybe you can.
[I take it back! Success! You can now find the clip below the break!]

I loved the league of gentlemen series, shame the League Film was a big pile of rubbish I hope this is more like the series.
No one does dark comedy better than the BBC. Berry & Fulcher's SNUFF BOX, JEKYLL (specifically for the scene with Mr. Hyde enjoying a sunny day at the zoo), & MONKEY DUST are prime examples of just how well the Brits can do grinning evil.I look forward to PSYCHOVILLE
