Trailer for Takanori Tsujimoto‘s 'Hard Revenge, Milly - Bloody Battle'

by Andrew Mack, March 12, 2009 9:10 AM

I'm days behind on this news but with the arrival of the trailer for Fist from the same outfit Ace Deuce I was also made aware of the sequel to Takanori Tsujimoto‘s martial arts gore-fest, Hard Revenge, Milly, starring established martial artist Miki Mizuno. The sequel will come out this summer and will be aptly titled Hard Revenge, Milly - Bloody Battle.

After Milly eliminates the Jack Brothers to avenge her family, a beautiful girl named Haru (Nao Nagasawa) approaches her for help avenging her own boyfriend. Milly initially brushes her off, but eventually recognizes her passion for vengeance and agrees to train her.

Soon, Ikki (Kazuki Tsujimoto) and his brother Huma (Rei Fujita), two of Jack’s former associates, arrive to take them on. Milly makes short work of their minions and knocks Huma out cold, but the steel-armed Ikki manages to injure her severely. Will she be able to survive and help Haru exact vengeance?

The special effects gore are by Yoshihiro Nishimura, whose work we are all familiar with in Tokyo Gore Police and The Machine Girl. We don't need to tell you that behind the break lies a trailer with plenty of gore and blood. Be careful where you watch it. After all, Milly is using a nunchuck to destroy baddies' heads.

"She likes it hard"
That tagline just oozes class...

Is this "Ultra Violence Japanese Action Movie" genre fast running out of popularity? With the previous two the comments were flying left and right, now it's eerily silent in here.

Yeah, the tagline sounds very very porn to me. It could have been worse though, they could have used that tagline to Midnight Meat Train...

Looks pretty fun to me, but I haven't seen Tokyo Gore Police yet, so I'm gonna have to do that first. I'll probably see this sometime after that though.

I don't know about these ones. Personally they seem cheap to me in the bad sense as opposed to the Fever Dreams productions which turn their limitations into strengths.

I passed on a chance to see the first one for lack of subtitles.

This makes the future look like a parking garage. I'm thinking this may not live up to my admittedly low standards.

I'm shocked Hollywood hasn't decided to go all ultraviolence and remake Machine Girl or Tokyo Gore Police.

Thank goodness. Leave it up to Nishimura and the Japanese for now.
