Regular readers of Twitch should know the drill on this one by now. Fyodor Bondarchuk's Inhabited Island is the epic adaptation of a science fiction novel by The Strugatsky Brothers, the same men who wrote Stalker, among others. How epic is this thing? It's one of the highest budgeted Russian productions ever and so epic, apparently, that it could not be contained by just one film. Not in Russia, anyway, though rumblings are that a single film, edited down version will be rolled out for the international market sometime this year. Part one was a huge hit in Russian theaters and part two is near, near enough that the first teaser has just arrived. You'll find it below the break.

Hi there!
Please change the title of this news :) This is not a first teaser to Ihabited Island 2. On the end of this video it's clearly says that first teaser will have its premiere on 9 march. This is a preview to this teaser :)
Its exatcly says on this video : 9 march - trailer premiere - in Internet - see as first.
Russian people as Hollywood start to preview trailers, its popular :)
Although JediAdam is absolutely right, and this is what the text in this teaser says (9 march - trailer premiere - on Internet - be the first to see it), but technically the title of the post is not wrong. This is indeed the teaser, and trailer will be released on March 9th.
So will we ever see the complete 2 movies in America?
Any adaptation of the Strugatsky Brothers' work and I'm there.
Roadside Picnic is not only the inspiration of one of Tarkovski's greatest films, but is also the starting point of a little Ukrainian game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, which is the most impressive and terrifyingly immersive experience I've had for the better part of a decade.
