It's always interesting when new countries join the slasher film fraternity. Some of them seem to come right out of left field and with others you wonder what took them so long to pitch in. Take Taiwan for example. You'd think with all of it's neighbors taking stabs [har dee har har] at the slasher genre for a while now it is only now that they are offering up their first taste of slasher goodness. On April 17th five friends arrive at a swanky party, unaware that the special night is just a cover for an evening of torture and murder. From the looks of the trailer Three Dots Entertainment don't seem to be fulling around too much with convention. I'm personally getting a kick out of the nu-metal song when you first log onto the official site. You've got your masked killer. You have you're pretty young victims. You have your copious pools of blood. You have your adult film star cast, Maria Ozawa. Yeah, I'd give it a whirl.
Hurm. Looks amazingly B-grade, complete with a sleazy white guy character. On the plus side, they cast the fine-looking Maria Ozawa in it, along with the fine-looking Liz. At least there will be some eye-candy.
