After the success Tim Doyle had with his Bill Murray print from a few weeks ago he's back with another iconic actor in six of his most memorable roles. This time it's Robert De Niro, a virtual powerhouse of an actor who has basically fallen in to self mockery and phoning in some quality ham for the last few years. But with this print I think Tim wants to remember him from the movies that made us fall in love with the guy to begin with, Godfather 2, Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, The Untouchables, Jackie Brown and less of Analyze That and Righteous Kill, though a picture of him from The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle in full Nazi regalia would have been sweet.
This follows the same route as the Murray print in size, 6x36, 4 color and comes in two versions, one regular and a blue glow in the dark limited variant. There will be 125 copies available of the regular version but only 20 of the glow in the dark version. But unlike the Murray print there won't be a second edition if this one runs out. $30 for the regular $50 for the variant and everything comes signed and numbered by the artist.
Also, because I was out of the city over the weekend and not near the interwebz I was too late to tell you that last saturday was the last chance to get your grubby little mitts on the first three invitational prints and T-shirts from Nakatomi. So if you wanted one of them you're out of luck cause they are gone for good.
Not enough Bill Murray, to be honest.
