Last years Norwegian Slasher movie 'Rovdyr' although not as successful as its fellow Norwegian slasher flick 'Fritt Vilt' was a nice little slasher film certainly worth a watch, is finally recieving a English subtitled release outside of its homeland next month and being retitled as 'Manhunt'. The release comes courtesy of Metrodome, extras are unknown at the moment.

Yay! love this movie. Not particularly original (you can work out the order people get killed by their character tropes) but very well shot in nice widescreen and pretty nasty in the vein of Frontieres. Glad to see it's getting a UK release but am a little disappointed that they didn't keep the original poster(but not surprised - its pretty emblematic of how movie posters are currently perceived to be encouraging violence. Which is why Nic Cage is gripping thin air on the Bangkok Dangerous remake ads). Still, Well done Metrodome, who also released Fritt Vilt in the UK.

"Fritt Vilt" was a very entertaining movie but I think I liked this one more. It was a more grittier and dirtier take on the slasher genre and I really appreciated the 70´s setting. Another plus was the fact that we don´t get to see enough Scandinavian rednecks in movies ´cause god knows they exist out here. Lokking forward to seeing what the director will come up with in the future.

I wonder if David Hess got paid for the use of his music from Last House on the Left in the opening of this movie 'cause I didn't see him credited.
