Oh, lord, do I love the OSS 117 films, note perfect recreations of the swingin' sixties spy film with French comic Jean Dujardin perfectly cast as a fifties style manly-man spy completely unaware of how badly out of step he is with the world around him. It's like Mad Men with guns, a sense of humor and wry satire, basically. The first of these films - actual revivals of an earlier French series - made my best-of list last year and now the second in the series - titled Rio Ne Repond Plus - is on the doorstep. And impending release can mean only one thing: trailers!
We ran the first clip for this a while back and now we've got the second, a much more involved bit this time that involves a trek through the jungle, gender roles and a brush with the local wildlife. If someone with better French than mine could translate, I'd be most grateful. Check both clips out below the break
