You'll remember not too long ago we brought you the trailer for the ultra low fi sci-fi creature feature Rat Scratch Fever. Jeff Leroy’s alien giant rat invasion film, Rat Scratch Fever, is nearing completion. The film tells the tale of an army of giant, mutant rats — brought back from space on a returning Earth spaceship — that causes death and destruction for Los Angeles and the world. We've been directed towards a batch of new stills from the film!
“The film is a homage to 1976’s FOOD OF THE GODS. I picked up *Famous Monsters* magazine every month, and they had a cover story about Bert I. Gordon’s film with all kinds of really cool stills of giant rats attacking people, with oversized rat heads by makeup mastero Thomas Burman. FOOD OF THE GODS didn’t live up to that hype, but it still had a lot of energy and animal attacks. My film has the same energy and better effects. No rats were hurt, but plenty of humans get gnawed to pieces.”
You can find the batch of stills here.
Our thanks for Avery for the heads up! And the trailer is after the break in case you need reminding why this is so awesome!
