Hong Kong producer and chairman of One Dollar Production Stephen Shiu Jr. is taking the motto of sex sells to the next dimension by working on what he billed as the "world's first 3D sex film" in attempt to lure people back to the theaters. Its a sequel to his father's produced Sex and Zen (1991), the highest grossing Category III erotica that instantly turn the voluptuous Amy Yip into the leading sex symbol at the time. With a budget of 30 million-Hong Kong dollar (4 million US), Shui says 3D Sex and Zen will feature special effects to make the love scenes as realistic as possible.
"Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed."The film is based loosely on the 17th century Chinese erotic classic "The Carnal Prayer Mat," a tale about how overindulgence in pleasure can lead to tragedy.
Shiu told the newspaper that about 25 to 30 percent of the movie would be love scenes, including many close-ups. He said the actresses would appear to be only a few centimentres (inches) from the viewers, who would have to wear special glasses to enjoy the 3D effects.
The producer plans to cast adult video actresses from Japan and Taiwan but finding a male lead who is willing to undress onscreen has been difficult. Filming is set to begin in April and its expected to be release around Christmas time.

This is a dream come true.
