Hello Warner Brothers. Allow me to introduce you to the concept of due diligence. Basically it means doing a full and thorough background check on all legal matters related to a contract before executing that contract to make sure everything's on the up and up. Such as, oh I don't know, checking to make sure you actually own a comic book property before going and spending hundreds of millions of dollars making a film of it.
A preliminary ruling has come down on the Fox lawsuit of WB over Zak Snyder's Watchmen, with the judge ruling that Fox owns at least the rights to distribute the picture. Which means Warners has just lost a bucket of money. Ouch.

I started a site wherein (for now) all I talk about is this lawsuit: http://www.filmesq.com.
Oops.
i hope the court orders WB to burn all prints of the film!
yes, i am seething with that much anger and hatred that i can't think reasonably or logically anymore.
Thanks Rodney, that's a very comprehensive summary.
Ouch. Someone is going to get black listed after this fiasco. Shows what not doing your due diligence as a producer/filmmaker can result in.
*sigh*
