According to Tidepoint Pictures, their long anticipated U.S. DVD release of Go Shibata's Late Bloomer (Osoi Hito) will hit the streets in February 2009. The DVD is said to feature interviews with Shibata and cast members, which hopefully includes the film's lead actor Masakiyo Sumida. More information will be provided closer to the release date.

I saw this at Fantastic Fest, and felt it was one of the highlights of the festival. It's great to see that it's finally getting a wide release.
