Any aspiring animator should take note from the example of independent filmmaker and lead animator of the Matrix Reloaded, Jeff Lew. For four years of total commitment, Jeff singlehandedly build a full length animated feature film Killer Bean Forever from the ground up while passing up a respectable animation positon for some big budget studio films. Its an action packed film following to his kick ass short film Killer Bean 2: The Party back in 2000 which was a internet sensation at the time. What you got is a coffee bean with a tough as nails attitude and stylish gun play action that John Woo would be proud of. Oh hell yeah! Here's a brief synopsis:
When things go bad in Beantown, top assassin Killer Bean is called to clean-up the mess. Detective Cromwell finds himself in the middle between Killer Bean and mob boss Cappuccino. But to make matters worse, Killer Bean finds out that the hunter has just become the hunted.
My hat is off to Jeff for having the guts to leave a steady job at Hollywood to pursue his dreams of directing a film on his own terms. His hard work is a testament that through dedication, passion and self-sacrifice, anybody can reach their goal. I really hope it pays off for him because he deserve it.
